Intent
Ripple Primary School recognises the value of Physical Education (P.E). We fully adhere to the aims of the national curriculum for physical education to ensure that all pupils:
● develop competence to excel in a broad range of physical activities
● are physically active for sustained periods of time
● engage in competitive sports and activities
● lead healthy, active lives
We use Get Set 4 PE to ensure our staff have a sound understanding of each PE unit. This scheme provides clear guidelines of unit and lesson expectations and outcomes. There are videos and illustrations to accompany most lessons so both teachers and children have a visual of what is expected.
