Activities for the week

 Our text this week is The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Most of this week's activities will be linked to this text. Please watch the video and  complete the activities.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar - Animated Film

In the internationally acclaimed The Very Hungry Caterpillar, a tiny caterpillar eats and eats...and eats his way through the week. Taken from The Very Hungry ...

Watch the 'Very Hungry Caterpillar' story on Youtube. Draw your favourite part of the story and write some sentences to go with it. Colour in the pictures.

Butterfly symmetry. Paint some patterns on ONE side of the butterfly. Fold it over and press down on it gently. Then open it up. BOTH sides of the butterfly should look EXACTLY THE SAME

Caterpillar Repeating Patterns. Go through the power point and work out which colour comes next in the patterns. Have a go at completing the pattern activity sheet.

Cut and sequence the life cycle of a butterfly.

Go through the power point. Complete the sheets measuring the caterpillars.

Complete the Mothers and their young activity matching baby animals to their mums.

Go through the 1 more/1 less power point and complete the activities.
