Hello Year 4!

 

Here are new strategies that you can work on. Remember the following:

 

1. Read through the powerpoints to gain an understanding of the reading strategy. 

2. Before answering any reading comprehension questions, please practise what you've learned in class. See below for a reminder.

• Preview the text based on the title (what or who could the text be about)
• Read through the questions and annotate key words
• Read through the text and underline any unknown vocabulary 
• Define all unknown words using a dictionary or the internet
• Read the text again
• Answer the questions
• Self assess
