  • Very Sad News

    Sun 15 Jan 2023

It is with great sadness to let you know that our Learning Support Assistant, Dorothy 'Dolly' Brown, passed away on Saturday morning.

I know this will be a great shock to our families as well as our staff, not least as many of us saw Dolly last week, being her usual happy and caring self, greeting both staff and children with her customary, “Hello sweetheart. Hello my darling.”

We will, as a school, make sure that we do everything we can to support Dolly's family at this very sad time.

We will also, in time, find the best possible way to celebrate everything about Dolly, not least as a greatly valued colleague and friend who worked tirelessly for all of the children at our school.

I know that all of our thoughts are with Dolly's family.

  • Wendy Haywood ~ Retirement

    Mon 12 Oct 2020
Wendy Haywood retired in July 2020, after working for 41 years at Ripple. School.
The reception children at Suffolk Road made her a thank you card and staff and colleagues attended a "socially distanced" cream tea whilst she opened her gifts from school. She received an engraved vase, a new hat, a new pair of flip flops, some ceramic wellington boot planters and a £200 Homebase voucher to spend on her new garden.
Councillor Rodwell also presented Wendy with a certificate from the Mayor of Barking and Dagenham, recognising her long service to the Borough.
Thank you Wendy and happy retirement.

  • O2 Choir

    Thu 13 Feb 2020

Recently, our Ripple Choir sang at the O2 Young Voices Concert, with 8000 other school children.
The atmosphere was electric and as always, our children behaved impeccably .
It was an absolute pleasure to hear them join in with every song.
A very special thank you to Jamie and Emma, who have coached our choir and nearly had as much fun as the kids did!! Thank you to Ellen too..... who stayed up late too👍
